Students will watch Krista Paul's interview with Fireside Chats where Krista explains that she is a hairstylist and makeup artist and works hard to help people feel and look their best while connecting and talking with them. Students will use the concepts learned in Krista's interview and apply the idea of positive habits and growth mindset to create a self-portrait art piece dis- playing qualities that they love and value about themselves. Students will do a self-assessment afterwards where they will answer three reflection questions about the experience. Students will be assessed by a portrait self-assessment consisting of three reflection questions and a portrait self-assessment rubric.
