Lesson Three: Carly Chartier 62 Support System Visual Activity SUPPORT SYSTEM VISUAL ACTIVITY Introduction: In this activity, you will be creating a visual representation of your support system. You will first use the My Support Systems part to figure out who and what your support system consists of. You will list out who is in your support system, then describe the relationship and the connection you have with this support. The relationship is who they are to you. The connection what kind of help this support provides you. Next, you will use this information to create a visual representation of your support system! This could be done as a poster or as a multimedia presentation. When you are done, you will self-as- sess yourself with the rubric provided on the back page. Use this rubric as a guide to your visual. When you are finished, give yourself a mark and answer the two reflection questions. My Support Systems: Use the three tables to list out who and what is in your support system. List 5-8 supports for each category. Then write out the relationship you have with this support. Last, you will write the con- nection to the support. The connection is what they provide you with. EXAMPLE: Ms. Schalla She is my teacher Ms Schalla provides me with emotional support, teaches me new things, and uplifts me. I can go to her if I have any issues in class. Ruby Lou We have been best friends since we were kids. They provide me with advice, emotional support, and are always there when I need someone. They are always a phone call away.
