Lesson One: Brianna Oversby 171 ASSESS: The Gallery Walk activity is a form of formative assessment. This activity will enable students to engage in discussions about art, trauma and history. The debriefing questions after Dr. Glen Sharpe's interview with Fireside Chats is a form of forma- tive assessment. Teachers will be able to check students' comprehension of the topics discussed in the video. The written reflection is a form of summative assessment. Teachers will be able to assess stu- dents' writing and connections to other parts of the lesson. The final gallery walk is a form of formative assessment. Students will be able to discuss their peers' art and how it relates to the theme of the lesson while celebrating their learning.
