Lesson Two: Hanwakan Blakie Whitecloud 145 ASSESS: The Quick Write activity is a form of formative assessment. Teachers will be able to identify where students are at in terms of their career aspirations. The debriefing questions after Hanwakan's interview is a form of formative assessment. Teachers will be able to check what students took away from his video and make connections to the other parts of the lesson. The mini-research assignment is a form of summative assessment. Teachers will be able to assess whether students were able to correctly describe the careers including job description, level of education needed and salary range and use relevant sources based on their loca- tions. Teachers may assess for level of completion, accuracy of information and relevance of information.
