FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR As we reflect on the 2025 Sprout Ideas Fellowship Cohort, I am filled with deep gratitude and admiration for the remarkable 114 young leaders who continue to shape a more inclusive, innovative, and compassionate Canada. This year marks an important milestone for the program: through our partnership with Humber Polytechnic, Fellows earned the Project Design for Community Impact micro- credential, a recognized accreditation that affirms the real-world impact of their work and the skills they have developed through the Fellowship. This collaboration represents a significant step forward in strengthening the learning experience of our Fellows, bridging community-based action with formal recognition. Across the country, the 2025 Fellows dedicated 22,000+ volunteer hours and brought forward innovative, community-driven projects supported through mentorship and project-based funding up to $5,000, amounting to $551,000+ in funds across the program this fiscal year. The impact of the Fellowship is both measurable and deeply human. The vast majority of Fellows report increased community engagement and a strong commitment to continuing their service journeys. Through mentorship, peer collaboration, and structured learning as highlighted within the new micro- credential, Fellows have strengthened essential skills in leadership, communication, budgeting, and project implementation. These experiences are preparing them not only as changemakers, but as contributors to Canada's future workforce and social innovation ecosystem. The Sprout Ideas Fellowship continues a launchpad for changemakers and now, increasingly, a pathway for recognized learning and career development. To our Fellows: thank you for your courage, your vision, and your unwavering commitment to building a better world. And to our partners, including Humber Polytechnic and Canada Service Corps, as well as our mentors and supporters: thank you for believing in the power of youth and helping cultivate futures in bloom. With gratitude and optimism, Jennifer Corriero Executive Director, TakingITGlobal
