ABOUT THIS REPORT In the Spring of 2025, a cohort of young social innovators who are alumni of Canada Service Corps embarked on a 10-month accelerator program involving 12 learning modules, a microgrant and access to mentorship, coaching and other enrichment opportunities. By February 2026, 114 Sprout Ideas Fellows completed an impact report after finishing their Fellowship projects. This Impact Report summarizes and presents findings from their individual reports. Numerical responses were analyzed and are presented using tables and charts. Written responses were reviewed in full and grouped into key themes. Throughout this report, we share the key themes along with quotes from Fellows that help illustrate their experiences and insights. The Sprout Ideas Fellowship supports #RisingYouth grant recipients and other Canada Service Corps alumni in implementing and growing their community service projects. Each Fellow was supported by a Fellowship Support Coordinator who offered 1-on-1 guidance and coaching. Fellows took part in training, mentorship and peer learning, and received funding to carry out their projects. The cohort began in July 2025 and ended in February 2026. Canada Service Corps is a Government of Canada federal program that empowers young Canadians (aged 15-30) to make an impact through service opportunities in their communities, while developing valuable skills and experiences. TakingITGlobal is the organization that is home to the Sprout Ideas Fellowship. TakingITGlobal designs and delivers youth engagement programs that empower young people to understand and act on local and global challenges. They are one of the world's leading networks of young people learning about, engaging with and working towards tackling global challenges.
