❑ Connected North was launched in 2013 to broaden access to engaging
and culturally relevant learning opportunities for students in remote
northern communities.
❑ The program uses two-way interactive videoconferencing to connect
K-12 classrooms with educators, experts, and cultural knowledge
holders.
❑ The organization continues to grow:
o 400+ Content Providers (about half of whom are Indigenous).
o In the 2024-2025 school year, Connected North expanded to serve a total of 200 schools
and 1,366 teachers, and delivered 7,750 sessions.
