Key Findings
Teachers play a central role
in supporting program implementation
❑ Teacher involvement was reflected in strategic session selection, preparing
students in advance, active facilitation during sessions, and extending learning
afterward, though assessing consistency across teachers or sessions was
difficult owing to limited evidence base.
"So, I always do like a pre-
teach. Then we have the
session. Then we have at least
one day of post…So sometimes
it's small group discussions,
sometimes it's a writing
reflection piece."
-Teacher Survey Respondent
Participants have access to appropriate and
reliable teleconferencing technology
❑ Teachers described making the most of the technology they had and generally
considered it adequate; but the setups varied widely, and it was clear that
classroom technology has the potential to influence the session experience.
"If two classes book it at the
same time, then it's a bit of a
discussion as who gets the
Cisco board…and if it's a
really interactive
presentation, then in our
classroom is challenging
because the sound isn't great
for the presenter…"
