Key Findings Contextual variation: The assumption that Connected North is equally effective across targeted students and age groups appears to hold. ❑ One emergent theme was that Connected North seemed particularly effective in reaching students who were less responsive to conventional education. ❑ In the multivariate analysis, the only consistent predictor of responses on the student survey was student age, with older students having less positive ratings than younger ones. o These differences do not necessarily mean Connected North works better for younger students. Literature shows that older students are typically less engaged in school, so age groups should be compared with caution. "I've seen students who are normally withdrawn in the classroom…don't always raise their hand…come alive in some of these presentations." -Teacher Survey Respondent "I have 3 extremely sensitive students who prefer to not partake in discussion, but they engaged whole heartedly in Connected North sessions" - Teacher Survey Respondent
