An inclusive approach is essential.
Bringing everybody in on the journey; holding
conversations, creating shared understanding and
a united approach. Demystify dierences and
move forward together.
Racism is extremely complex,
multilayered and entangled with
several other social and historical
issues. Whilst it is acknowledged that
there are very distinct forms of racism,
'Black', when used as a label can lead to
over-simplification; solutions must
embrace, celebrate, share and respect
the many dierent cultures and
nuances around identity.
It's complex.
Unite not divide.
Everybody has their own unique journey and story; we are all shaped by our experiences, the
good and the bad. We need to listen to understand. Ask questions, seek knowledge, really put
ourselves in the shoes of others. Be mindful, caring, sensitive and aware.
Listen to understand, not just to respond.
