Knowledge & Education
1. Do your sta members, such as programme leaders and teaching assistants, represent the community and the young people
you work with?
2. How can projects and programmes naturally incorporate ideas and themes that are historically accurate and reflect a range
of cultures?
3. What is your organisation doing to identify knowledge and educational gaps in overall organisation structure, programming,
among sta members, etc? How are you seeking to close these gaps?
4. Review the tone and narrative of your communications. How are you describing and positioning the young people you work
with? What can you do to naturally incorporate a position of strength and prioritise positive, empowering language?
5. What is your organisation doing to celebrate and recognise achievement and inspire the next generation of role models? If
not, how can you achieve this?
6. Review programme structures. Do they predominantly focus on specific organisational milestones, goals, issues, etc? Are
you creating spaces for open creativity? If not, how can you achieve this?
7. Do the programme leaders work closely with young people of colour to understand and learn to support their learning style
and identify the resources they need to progress?
