R. Adeboye, C. Flewelling,V. Ogbole, E. O'Sullivan 77 Figure F: Responses to "I like coming to school more when I know there will be a Connected North session" by Age Group Overall, while the multivariate analysis offers some interesting indications about how different contextual and implementation factors may relate to outcomes, the findings should be interpreted with caution. Some of the relationships observed in the multivariate analysis appear intuitively meaningful—even expected—such as teachers with longer experience using Connected North sometimes offering more positive ratings. Other associations, such as the link between lower Community Well-Being scores and students reporting more optimism about their future options, could be tempting to interpret as evidence that Connected North is effectively reaching and inspiring students in lower-SES communities. However, the overall pattern of findings is somewhat idiosyncratic, and the small and non- random nature of the sample limits the extent to which the results can be generalized. In addition, there were important limitations to the models. Most notably, the near-uniformly positive ratings in the teacher survey left little meaningful variance for the models to explain. In several of the student survey analyses, the parallel lines assumption required for ordinal logistic regression was violated, suggesting that the relationship between the independent and dependent variables may have been more complex than the model was able to capture. More sophisticated analytical approaches, which were beyond the scope of this exploratory analysis, could be employed to extend the analysis further. As noted above, one partial exception is age: younger students consistently provided higher ratings. Still, developmental research shows that engagement typically drops during the transition from elementary to secondary school (e.g., Wang and Peck, 2020), so care is needed when interpreting these differences. In other words, while it remains important to ensure that
