Evelyn is a traditional artist and fashion designer known
for her deep connection to Indigenous culture and
craftsmanship. In this session, students will not only join
her in completing a beading project but also have the rare
opportunity to listen as she speaks about current issues
affecting Indigenous communities. Topics such as Land
Back, Water is Life, Every Child Matters, and many other
relevant social concerns will be discussed. Through this
experience, students will gain valuable insights into both
traditional art and contemporary Indigenous struggles.
