Throat Singing Grace Metuq & Anna Ashoona Grace and Anna, from Pangnirtung and Kinngait respectively, are two young Inuit who have been performing throat singing and teaching others for years. They share a passion for sharing this practice with as many young students as possible to keep this beautiful traditional practice alive. This a custom workshop which can be adapted as needed to facilitate an introduction or sharing of knowledge and experience of Inuit throat singing in an informal exchange between youth and Grace & Anna. Music 34 Kindergarten Musical Adventures Caleb Smith Join musician Caleb Smith for an engaging virtual music session where children will explore the world of music through singing, movement, and interactive activities. The sessions explore musical elements like fast and slow, loud and quiet, and high and low, helping children understand different aspects of music and supporting the curriculum's emphasis on creativity and analytical thinking. Sessions can be booked individually or as a series to deepen learning. Traditional Indigenous Music David Finkle David is a Traditional Knowledge Keeper and award winning Musician from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in southern Ontario. In this session, David shares insight into traditional Indigenous music styles from across Turtle Island along with providing context as to their place in society as well as their physical construction. Interactive musical performances are of course included! David also offers North American Indigenous Music throughout the Ages, a Rattle Making workshop, and more.
