Beaded Christmas Ornaments Sam Fleshman-Carlick Visual Arts Soapstone Leaf Pendant Priscilla Boulay I wanted to carry on this legacy of my grandpa. He taught his children how to carve, and they taught us how to carve and now I'm teaching my girls how to carve. I think that's the only way of their understanding of our culture, because we're so far away from home and their not learning it, so through my carvings I tell them stories, about the Inukshuk, I tell them what the meaning was, and their reason for being Inukshuk,. I tell them stories behind it. 30 Priscilla offers a variety of other soapstone shapes for carving sessions, such as polar bear, arctic hare, eagle, wolf, muskox, and more.
