Diversifying Student Learning These demonstrations showed us how we could diversify the learning experience for our students. We were given a copy of a print catalogue and a password to the digital portal. The descriptions of the seminars also gave the teachers ideas of how to extend the learning. Miss Merly favours creative seminars. Miss Frances's first category of choice was health topics. As she became more familiar with the offerings, she favoured Indigenous content and expanded to science and history lessons. Several Indigenous presenters use the Medicine Wheel as a basis for their topic: wellness, setting goals, and healthy relationships. On the advice of a presenter, Miss Frances got into the routine of handing out a blank medicine wheel template and asking students to write something from their week that contributed to each domain.
