Create an open space (allows children to move a bit or change
position if needed).
Have comfortable seating for all children (wiggle cushions, cushions
to sit on the carpet, wobble chairs, or stools for kids who need to
move).
Make sure all children have an unobstructed view of the screen.
Check to ensure volume is appropriate.
Dim the lights.
Mute your microphone when the presenter is talking.
Teach children hand signals like thumbs up, raise hands to share,
and how to respond to the different hosts.
Explain what is going to happen, and even practice a video
connection with someone in the school ahead of time.
Use fidget toys or weighted blankets for children who need help
with focus.
Have all materials ready to go and organized ahead of time.
Have workstations set up and all materials ready.
Have clipboards and pencils ready for writing or drawing activities.
