Creating an Optimal
Session Environment
Creating an open space where students are comfortable allows for optimum
learning. Choices of seats, wiggle cushions, chairs, and the floor are all options for
my students. Also, I give each student a little more space to stretch out and
change positions.
Owls from the Inside Out: Investigating an Owl Pellet
The students had the opportunity to dissect
an owl pellet. They had to search for bones
in the pellet with toothpicks. Then they had
to match their discoveries to a chart and
identify the animal the bones were from.
I added magnifying glasses, and each
student got their own pellet.
The students then took their owl pellets
home to share with their family.
