I learned a lot of technical skills, growing microgreens and the hydroponic method. I'm now able to independently run my little urban farm and possibly teach others both methods for more sustainable and efficient urban farming. There were many occasions I had to work "interdisciplinary" such as putting together a huge storage rack, adjusting the hydroponic site, doing some "chemistry" to ensure the optimal environment and nutrients for the hydroponic lettuce, and a lot more... 8) Learned New Technical Skills A major lesson we learned is how to increase media engagement, which results in increased knowledge attainment for members on health and wellness topics and more individuals at our events. During our first few events, we struggled to have engagement with our posts. We learned that we needed to have more personable stories, videos, and posts. We also recognized that using the features provided on Instagram and Facebook was especially important to promote engagement. For example, we started using the polls features, hashtags, and calendar filters among the many features provided on these platforms. Learning about these neat media tips and tricks is a lesson we will continue to apply to our promotion for future events. Lessons Learned Section 4: 43
