At the beginning of the project, we were not receiving replies from
the myriad of schools we reached out to, so after investigating why
that was, we realized the issue might have been with our
unstructured email template. We quickly revised our email
template to make it more personalized to each school, and we
began receiving more replies. Hence, a lesson we learned from the
project was to always try to understand why something might not be
working and try to address the issue, instead of ignoring the issue
and not using time more effectively.
I learned how to
market the project as
well as how to reach
out to businesses and
ask for help. This
has been a real eye
opening experience
because it's difficult
getting something
like this started.
