90 educators to date have participated in a new
online learning experience to explore 21
st
Century
Skills, Global Citizenship Education, Student Voice and
Choice, Leadership, Sustainable Development, Design
Thinking, and the Integration of Digital Technology.
This new learning experience, launched by co-
founder Michael Furdyk at a keynote at the IB World
Educators conference in Abu Dhabi in October, builds
on TIG's previous professional learning offerings and
provides an open, self-guided community of practice.
We aim to help educators plan and implement
learning experiences that engage students in social
innovation and to support them in doing so through
just-in-time guidance, collaboration, and support.

" The most impactful
experience for the students
was the presentations.
They were able to feel
heard, seen, respected and
contribute and share their
knowledge. Also, they had
to develop speech skills
in another language, deal
with anxiety and also with
success. For the teacher, I
see that the most significant
experience was the same,
to see the students doing so
well, and to see how they
showed a deep involvement
and knowledge with the
subject, especially when they
were writing. That reminds
us of the preparation and all
the work before the event."
