Exploring global issues through global youth connections
In 2019, the Centre for Global Education hosted
just over 4,025 participants from Kindergarten to
Grade 12, in over 43 Global Encounters & 9
National/ Global Dialogues. We offered sessions in
English and French for children and youth to engage in
deep, project-based learning. Additionally, our virtual
classrooms and global gallery hosted collaborative
workspaces for asynchronous learning from students in
over 40 nations, across the Global North and Global
South including across the Global North and Global
South (alphabetical): Angola, Argentina, Australia,
Bangladesh, Belize, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia,
Costa Rica, Cuba, Czechia, Estonia, Ghana, Greece,
India, Indonesia, Japan, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco,
Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Palestinian
Territories, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Republic of Korea,
Russian Federation, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan,
Tanzania, Trinidad, Turkey, Ukraine, UK, & USA.
