Science & Environmental Studies
Discover the power of community-driven research. Michael
and Justin will introduce students to Ikaarvik, a group of
Northern youth bridging research and communities,
Indigenous Knowledge and Western science. Learn about
the work that they do, and explore what you might want to
know about your community. Students will be led through
a conceptual exercise of what research might look like in
their community and how they might get involved. They will
also discuss how research is conducted (overview of steps),
as well as careers & post-secondary options for those who
might be interested in research or Science.
