Lawrence started hoop dancing when he was 12 and it has taught him about equality and changed the way he looks at life. In this session, students will learn the history and cultural significance of the hoop dance, regalia and see a professional demonstration of the craft. Students can book follow-up lessons if they have access to hoops or Lawrence is available to help them learn how to build their own! No dance experience is needed, and all movements can be modified. The goal is to get students moving while exploring dance styles like jazz, Broadway, and partner dancing.
