Even the youngest learners need to know how to use technology safely & responsibly. What better way to make this critical (but, at times, very boring!) subject accessible than with puppets? The puppet characters need help making good choices so that they can stay safe and build community in a digital world. They entertain while introducing real-world scenarios to which young learners can apply their digital citizenship skills. Digital Citizenship for Elementary Banyan Global Learning This interactive virtual workshop provides an overview of how technology shapes art cultures. We'll explore questions such as: How do machines influence the music we enjoy? How does technology affect the design of neighborhoods and furniture? And how do social media algorithms shape fashion and dance trends? Tailored for young artists in Grades 10–12, this workshop covers AI tools, their impact on creative fields, and responsible technology use. Are Machines Creative? Art and Artificial Intelligence National Arts Centre Design technologies have expanded the possibilities in art and design. In this program, students will learn how tools like 3D printers and laser cutters transform digital designs into physical products or art. Students will create their own designs for a laser-cut pin, which will be cut and engraved at the museum and then shipped to your school. This hands-on experience offers a practical introduction to modern fabrication techniques and the creative potential of digital design.
