Is inertia stronger than friction? Students will investigate pushes and pulls, testing the forces on various objects and uncovering fascinating insights. Through hands-on experiments, you'll compare insect and human senses, view incredible scanning microscope images of insect sensory organs from our Entomology lab, and examine specimens. Plus, you'll even hear insect brain activity! This program takes you beyond the basic five senses with the help of six-legged scientists. The Science of Seeking Snacks Cleveland Museum of Natural History The Cleveland Museum of Natural History also offers a variety of Health sessions that you can see on p. # Tour the barn through a two-way video and meet the sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry up close. Students will also have the chance to meet the not-so-small pigs! Along the way, they will learn fun and fascinating facts about these animals, their behaviors, and how they are cared for. This experience offers an opportunity to explore the barn environment and get to know these farm animals. The Agriculture and Food Museum also offers Genetics and Dairy Cows, Life Under Our Feet, and more. In this follow-up to Jay's "Chain Reactions" presentation, students will build chain reaction parts alongside Jay to create their own unique machines. They'll learn techniques such as ball tracks from books, track feeders from cardboard, roll-arounds from cups, gravity-powered carousels from cans, catapults from popsicle sticks, tetherballs from pencils and clay, and mini zip-lines from string and action figures.
