Donna is Inuvialuit and Gwich'in and has a background in community and policy development, working with councils, corporations, and governments to support policy change and Indigenous rights. In this session, she will lead students through reflection exercises to explore questions like: Who am I? What matters to me? What have I accomplished? What do I want to be involved in? The goal is to strengthen their sense of identity and help them plan for the future. Traditional Recipe Development Kanina Terry Recommended as a series, these sessions weave Indigenous themes with yoga. The sessions will include breath, yoga, and cultural themes that represent indigenous values and core beliefs. These sessions will encourage youth to have a sense of pride in Indigenous teachings and empower them to share the teachings with their families. Indigenous Yoga Module Heather Cherisse Heather Cherisse also offers Animal Yoga. Kanina is an Anishnaabe-kwe with and is actively reclaiming Anishinaabe culture, food, hide tanning and art.This session is a custom traditional foods cooking demonstration—just send your request. Kanina can cook traditional dishes and often has land-sourced food in her freezer. As a culinary instructor, she collaborates with First Nations communities on traditional foods recipe development, sharing her knowledge and skills to preserve and promote Indigenous culinary traditions.
