Katarina Gram Lawrence Wesley Education Centre Cat Lake, Ontario Introduction It's hard to say what the most striking benefit of using Connected North in my classroom has been, as there are several important ones. Having my students hear viewpoints different from their own, challenging their ideas and conceptions. Allowing them to conduct science experiments not possible in the classroom. Being able to visit places far from our community, so opening the world to them. Living out history in the places it happened, making what we learned in social studies real and concrete. Exploring universities, colleges, and careers across Canada to help make post-secondary learning more tangible. Meeting with Indigenous role models who inspire them. All of these have been key benefits to my students. C o n n e c t e d N o r t h i n O u r C l a s s r o o m Karen Chan Gray - Connected North in Our Classroom 73
