2022
Fireside Chats
Throughout 2022, our team conducted 139 new
interviews with First Nations, Inuit and Métis
role models with recordings shared on our
FiresideChats.ca online platform.
We have been finding creative ways to feature
these stories within our program materials,
including QR codes within the Connected North
menu shared with teachers, and the recent
design of new materials including posters and a
card deck. These materials will be shared with
schools we work with and others who wish to
access this inspiring content.
With writer Alison Tedford Seaweed and
illustrator Shaikara David, we have produced
blogs with highlights, visuals, and inspirational
quotes, allowing us to feature this compelling
content across a variety of digital platforms.
