With us only being a group of 7 post-secondary students running this
event we learned the impact that we were able to make. We were able to
reach so many people within our local community that believed in our
cause, and to get the support from the grant coming from Rising Youth,
and to have 70+ participants in our event was huge! No effort is too small
when you believe in something and truly anything is possible. We are
excited to keep working towards our cause and to gain awareness of food
waste and sustainable living to make an even bigger impact!

I think the biggest lesson
that I learned from this
project was that doing
something to change an
issue that you believe is
hurting your community
is possible. Just taking
initiative and starting is
half the journey and I'm
really glad that
everything turned out
well.
