On the platform, we now offer 1,813 searchable Connected North sessions. Throughout the year, we collaborated with teachers to continue to modify and update the platform to respond to their needs and ideas. The key features created were: 1. Searching by curriculum alignment - 1,505 curriculum expectations aligned 2. Viewing past session history to support re-booking sessions they loved 3. Highlighting session samples with video clips (to get a taste of the session before booking) 4. Spotlighting reviews from other educators on sessions, so educators feel confident booking what is right for their class 5. Favouriting sessions to come back to ideas they discover and want to save for later We also use the platform to track session ratings and feedback from teachers, allowing them to give sessions a score out of 5 (5 being a perfect session). Through the school year, we collected 2,144 educator ratings and the average rating was 4.63/5. CONTENT PROVIDERS We also created a secondary platform view tailored to the content providers, allowing us to support their needs by showing them their schedule, outlining all session details so they can prepare effectively, handling shipping of session supplies for them and invoicing and paying them automatically. To date, 150 of our 339 content providers (44%) have used the platform. This year there were 2,690 invoices automatically generated for providers, with payment occurring on average within 24 business hours. 360 resource orders and shipments were automated by the platform and we will be further integrating resource fulfilment with Amazon next year to reduce costs and staff time. We feel that by creating the platform to address previous pain points has allowed us to remain a partner of choice for our Indigenous content providers. We estimate these automations have saved over 600 hours of staff and provider time this year. We also added a "Best Practices" session to the provider hub that outlines some important considerations and tips for creating impactful virtual workshops and working with the communities we serve. These 5 mini-modules were created by the Connected North team, including School Leads, Content Providers and participating Educators to support providers in the delivery of meaningful learning opportunities. 14
