S A R A C O R N T H W A I T E 90 LESSON 6: MUSIC VIDEOS Lesson 6 has Sara's tips to help you kind of get the best possible music videos that you can for yourself. One way to make a video is just to pick up your instrument and be playing right here in front of the camera. But what if you want to do something more intricate? You could do a two-camera set up like we talked about in the interview video. Set up one camera on you with your guitar and the other camera can be the creative camera. PULLING IT ALL TOGETHER: "If you start recording both cameras at the same time and do a live session, you can keep your main camera on a tripod locked and set, and you can use your second camera to float and get creatives of the same moment. And then you could use the two shots together in post to create a beautiful, beautiful moment." Sara shared two examples where she did this, once for her uncle's music video and once for her cousin singing live at an event. In both instances she used a locked off camera and a free moving camera to capture different moments. Tip: If you're alone and don't have someone to record with a second camera, integrate B-roll instead. AUDIO Audio can be tricky.
