Katie will give you a tour of all the basic tools to get you started. Learn how to navigate the platform, share assignments with students and access student work from a distance in "real" time. There will be plenty of time for questions and personalized learning. STUDENT MENTA L HE A LTH A ND WELLBEING with Learn Different This workshop is offered as a four-part series to provide an introduction to the factors that contribute to challenges and disruptive classroom behaviour: Part 1: Understanding Emotion Regulation in Action Part 2: Identifying and Responding to Classroom Stressors Part 3: The ABCs of Mental Health Part 4: Implementing Classroom Support Strategies Two formats available: Individual sessions (45 minutes) or half-day (3 hour) sessions available. HE A LING FROM INTERGENER ATION A L TR AUM A with Dakota Bear In this session, Dakota covers the topic of intergenerational trauma. Dakota shares his journey of self-awareness and overcoming, while giving the teachers more insight on what it's like being a student with PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. Dakota will share on what helped and harmed while in school to manage mental health. ENG AGING IN ELEC TIONS A ND DEMOCR AC Y with Elections Canada Are you looking for ways to inspire and engage your students in elections and democracy? In this session, you will get an overview of our learning resources and have the opportunity to try out some of the activities. Each activity includes data, case studies, videos, and maps are all embedded in engaging lessons that are linked to curriculum in every province and territory. This session will prepare you and your students to build your knowledge and understanding of Canada's democracy and help create active citizens.
