Amandeep Saini | Founder of Joy of Reading One of the most important things I learned was how to evaluate needs of the community and address them. This resulted in re-evaluation of the model of the venture. I also learned much about measuring social impact. This was also important in evolving the venture. I also discovered the power of partnerships for my social venture. For example, by partnering with the Brampton Library, I was able to raise hundreds of books for Knights Table. The Joy of Reading aims to support literacy, primarily, in low income regions of Brampton. Lightly-used books will be collected through book drives. Devashree Rege | Founder of define! youth Learning from your target market is essential. Of course, by surveying the target market through creative methods, we will be able to build events catered to different interpretations. Establishing confidence in oneself and one's project is essential. I learned that to establish connections and relationships with others, I must be confident in define! youth and the success that we have been able to achieve. define! youth is an initiative providing events targeted towards youth ages 14-24. define! Youth events are built to provide enrichment in two areas: personal development and social entrepreneurship. 7
