COP 24 A Global Mobilization
of Youth Around Climate Change
From individual understanding to collective responsibility
and systems change, #Decolonize: #Decarbonize 2018
will leverage over 25,000 hours of collaboration from April
to December 2018, through engagement with youth in
over 20 nations through:
• School- and community-based online activities that
help students explore Indigenous perspectives of
climate change
• Three real-time, inquiry-based, collaborative
conferences and virtual meetings
• National surveys that engage multiple and diverse
students from participant countries
• Locally-based and living climate action projects
• Artistic submissions through a wide range of mediums
• Policy recommendations expressed in an International
Youth White Paper, which will actively be used to
accelerate the movement for global equity and climate
justice through presentation at COP 24
• Webcast series from critical environments at risk
(Glaciers, the Arctic, Great Barrier Reef, etc)
