It is important to note that many of these barriers are
even more apparent for Indigenous youth living in
remote and Northern communities. As mentioned
in Recommendation #1: Know Who You Are Working
With, our identities are complex and the challenges we
face vary according to our particular circumstances. We
hope that this report will help you better understand
the complexity of these barriers and will give you
an increased appreciation for the resilience and
determination of our young people.
