Student learning is shaped by many interconnected factors, and we recognize that Connected North represents one part of a student's broader educational journey. To better understand our contribution, we drew on multiple sources of evidence throughout the 2025–2026 school year. Our understanding of program impact was informed by four complementary sources: Operational metrics (pages 4-5) Student and educator survey feedback (pages 6-8) Teacher observations and classroom experiences (featured throughout this report) Independent academic research conducted by Carleton University Impact Grounded in Evidence Together, these sources provide a comprehensive view of how Connected North expanded access to engaging learning experiences, strengthened student engagement, and fostered meaningful connections to education. Carleton University Program Evaluation This year marked an important milestone as Carleton University completed an independent, year-long evaluation of Connected North using Contribution Analysis. Released in January 2026, the study examined the program's contribution to student success and provided an additional layer of evidence, complementing the experiences and feedback shared by students and educators throughout the school year.
