Shreyanshi Vala, British Columbia Shreyanshi is on a mission to build safer communities. Through BOLT Safety Society, she shared resources for survivors of sexual violence, harassment and abuse, and for allies in the community on their digital platform: The HUB. The Digital Platform contains locally curated crisis, shelter, medical, legal, and safety planning resources for cities across Canada and internationally. The Digital Platform also provides access to BOLT Safety's Safe Hubs program, a network of 63 safe spaces spanning 20 Canadian cities. To bring even more awareness to these resources, Shreyanshi and her team went on a cross-Canada tour to deliver workshops that aimed to build allyship, promote potentially life-saving resources and inform participants about consent and ending the culture of violence. Being a part of the Fellowship allowed Shreyanshi to strengthen her budgeting and project management skills as she developed her resources and embarked on a tour. Her team is committed to continuing to scale up and expand their programs, including the workshops and Digital Platform resources, to reach more communities.
