Beverly, an Ojibwe from the Wikwemikong reserve on Manitoulin Island, attended residential day school and has spent her life breaking free from societal constraints as an Indigenous woman. She became the only woman in her Machinist Specialist program, joined the Navy as one of Canada's first female Navy Ships Divers, and served 20 years in the RCMP, working with Indigenous communities. In this session, Beverly will share more about her path, how she continuously overcame challenges, and will encourage and inspire students to pursue their goals. With over a decade of marketing experience, I've spent the last six years working with the automotive industry. A highly respected and in-demand designer, he creates custom logos for various companies.
