Delilah is an Inuit Mental Health activist and empowerment coach from Coral Harbour, NU. In this session, Delilah shares her personal insights into mental health and guides students through a variety of engaging exercises. Students will explore the benefits of meditation, affirmations, and will be guided through healthy ways to explore their feelings and reframe their thoughts. Empowerment Series - Emotional Regulation Techniques Kristielyn Jones Kristielyn Jones, a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada, leads the final workshop in the Empowering Youth Series. The session covers understanding the nervous system and regulating emotions using the "Window of Tolerance" model. Students will learn how the nervous system signals danger, induces calm, and identifies what brings joy and safety. Join Gail Whitlow, a proud Mohawk from the Bear Clan of the Haudenosaunee, for a captivating virtual session. With a lifelong dedication to preserving traditional ceremonies and connecting with the Spirit, Gail, the 13th Grandmother on the Turtle Island Council, will guide students in exploring Haudenosaunee medicinal practices. This simple introductory class will teach the basics of breathing and simple slow and non- impact movements to help calm and focus the body and mind. Just Breathe!
