Join us for a session on the "Basic History of Residential Schools" and a personal journey toward reconciliation with journalist Willow Fiddler. We will explore the impact on Indigenous communities, emphasizing the importance of understanding this dark chapter in our past. Willow will also share her experience traveling to Rome to seek reconciliation through an official apology. Unveiling the Past: A Journey to Reconciliation with Willow Fiddler Willow Fiddler Trading Planets & Money: Past Present and Future Bank of Canada Museum Money is a logical connection to teaching real-world math problems. The Bank of Canada Museum will familiarize your students with currency and money while providing lesson plans on saving and spending, making change and different coin combinations, needs and wants, fractions, and more. As a senior social worker and psychotherapist, she has worked with children, youth, and families, co-led trauma seminars, and partnered with the Hospital for Sick Children to deliver telehealth services to Nunavut. This workshop will cover strategies for mindfulness, DBT, co-regulation, validation, and classroom regulation.
