Money Stories is a money management program for Indigenous youth, combining Elder insights with facilitator-led activities. Delivered in eight chapters, it covers topics like budgeting, goal setting, and money choices. Sessions build on each other but can be booked individually. For example, Chapter 1 focuses on prioritizing needs vs. wants and applying money choices to the medicine wheel. Available in English, Cree Oji-Cree, and Ojibwe. Money Stories SEED Winnipeg All About Money Bank of Canada Museum Money has always been a vital tool for trade. In this educational program, students will learn the definition of money and its five key characteristics. They will explore various forms of money, both historical and modern, gaining insights into the values and symbolism of Canada's current banknotes and coins. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to identify the security features of Canadian banknotes, deepening their understanding of how money functions today. Stick-eometry: 3D Transforming Toys Playful Engineers Using 5 pencils or sticks, plus tape and rubber bands, you can create a toy that transforms into various geometric shapes—from a triangle to a pentagon, pentagram, and more. For added fun, use 12 sticks to build one that changes from a hexagram to a cube or a square-bottomed pyramid. This activity offers a creative way to explore geometry with simple materials. Math & Financial Literacy Shuffle and Roll United for Literacy Shuffle and Roll is a curated collection of card and dice games that not only encourage the development of essential math skills but also create an interactive learning experience. By playing, listening, watching, and discussing these games, children can reinforce their mathematical understanding in a relaxed, enjoyable setting. Shuffle and Roll offers a creative approach to making math accessible and enjoyable for all ages. 70 United for Literacy also offers Making It Count, Where Is My Money?, Fraction Frenzy, and more.
