Sara will also guide students through dynamic movement and vocal activities, incorporating traditional language throughout the session. Music with Sara Kanutski Sara Kanutski Bash the Trash is a group of 35+ artists who create music and art from reused materials, connecting with science, culture, and social issues. In this session, our live performers will engage students in building their own instruments while using all their senses to discover the science behind them. We also learn about plastic pollution and climate change, ending with a fun, lively and noisy Thing Jam! Sustainable Sounds - Building Instruments from Trash Bash the Trash Donita Large is a Cree singer-songwriter from Saddle Lake First Nation in Treaty Six Territory, AB. Donita has released original music and is now working on her album, "The Ancestors", which honours her own ancestors and the collective stories that interweave truth, reconciliation, empowerment, and healing for social change. In this session, participants are guided through a thoughtful analysis of the song Reconciliation Sky, and prompted to think critically about themes of truth and reconciliation.
