OUR APPROACH
At the heart of the Connected North remains the commitment to an approach that holds
Indigenous perspectives at the centre. The students and educators guide how the program will
work best for their community, and Indigenous role models and content providers are involved
wherever possible, as critical sources of knowledge and inspiration. Our aim is to have 50% of
program content providers represent First Nations, Inuit and/or Métis communities, allowing for
enhanced representation of Indigenous role models for Indigenous students. This affirms
identities, encouraging students to feel proud of who they are and where they come from.
