Tips for Teachers New to Connected North Curricular Alignment: Pick sessions that align with your curriculum and link them to your year plan. Early Planning: Plan Connected North sessions in advance to secure relevant ones for your curriculum. Purposeful Use: Decide if sessions will review, introduce, or extend concepts. Age Suitability: Select sessions appropriate for your students' age group and grade; choose something that would keep their attention for the period of time you book your session for. Coordinator Collaboration: Reach out to your coordinator for timing and material discussions. Teacher Interests: Be sure to choose something you'd be interested in bringing into the classroom. Student-Centric Approach: Consider your students' preferences and learning styles when choosing sessions. Know whether your students are audio, visual, or kinesthetic learners and choose varied and appropriate experiences; think about cultural relevance to your students as well – will it tie in to their cultural learning or broaden their horizons in terms of exposure to things they don't usually come in contact with?
