"PERSONALLY, LEADING THIS INITIATIVE HAS BEEN AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF GROWTH AND FULFILLMENT. WITNESSING THE POSITIVE TRANSFORMATIONS IN THE LIVES OF YOUNG BENGALI INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES HAS BEEN DEEPLY REWARDING. IT HAS STRENGTHENED MY COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT AND EDUCATION." Fellows detailed how their projects gave them a strong sense of accomplishment and increased their feelings of confidence in themselves. They said their projects showed them what they were capable of as youth leaders and empowered them to make further changes in their communities. "THIS PROJECT PERSONALLY EMPOWERED ME AS A LEADER. BEFORE RISINGYOUTH AND SPROUT, I NEVER SAW MYSELF AS BEING ABLE TO LEAD A PROJECT OR BE A YOUTH LEADER. I WOULD ONLY DREAM OF BEING ABLE TO ADDRESS THESE GAPS THAT I FACED AND THAT OTHER YOUTH STILL FACE. THE PROJECT HOWEVER, GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE IN KNOWING THAT I AM ABLE TO LEAD A PROJECT, MAKE KEY DECISIONS AND MANAGE A TEAM TO SEE THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTED AND DELIVERED." "MY PROJECT HAD A TRANSFORMATIVE IMPACT ON ME, EQUIPPING ME WITH VALUABLE SKILLS IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND COMMUNICATION…I GAINED EXPERIENCE IN EFFECTIVELY PLANNING AND EXECUTING COMMUNITY INITIATIVES WHILE LEARNING TO WORK EFFICIENTLY WITHIN A TEAM." Fellows described how their projects played a crucial role in their development of professional skills, such as decision-making, teamwork, and financial management. They felt the development of these skills will help them to be more effective leaders and social innovators moving forward. PERSONAL PERSONAL IMPACT IMPACT SPROUT IDEAS FELLOWSHIP IMPACT REPORT 20
