Animal Yoga
Heather Cherisse
Animal Yoga is an opportunity for kids to express themselves in a safe
environment, learn new physical movements and sounds, build dexterity and
ability through repetition, and exercise their creative muscles. All this being
done in group dynamic which supports the building of self-trust and trust in
others. Together we will move through different postures as animals. We will
breath and even sometimes make sounds like animals from more large and
loud to smaller, more still positions and quiet. We move towards stillness and
take rest at the end of the class.
I try to teach young athletes, young
people to be adaptable, because
it's never what you want it to be,
it's never what you expect it to be
but you still have to find a way to
have success, find a way to thrive,
[...] being adaptable.
