Welcome to Future Pathways Fireside Chats! post-secondary education aren't always the easiest to weave into secondary-level lesson plans, and so the card deck includes 15 creative learning activities that can be used as a tool to spark deep conversation and reflection in the classroom. The cards can be used before, during, or aer watching the full role model interviews on the Fireside Chats website. Teachers can use the cards as a way to get students interested in watching the full videos, or as a way to take learning further. The cards can be used across several subject areas including Language, The Arts, Physical and Health Education, Science, Social Studies, History and Geography to encourage students to learn about careers in various sectors and industries. This program builds relationships between Indigenous role models and high school students to better prepare them for careers and post-secondary education.
