Welcome to Future Pathways Fireside Chats!
post-secondary education aren't always the easiest
to weave into secondary-level lesson plans, and so
the card deck includes 15 creative learning activities
that can be used as a tool to spark deep conversation
and reflection in the classroom.
The cards can be used before, during, or aer
watching the full role model interviews on the
Fireside Chats website. Teachers can use the cards as
a way to get students interested in watching the full
videos, or as a way to take learning further.
The cards can be used across several subject areas
including Language, The Arts, Physical and Health
Education, Science, Social Studies, History and
Geography to encourage students to learn about
careers in various sectors and industries.
This program builds relationships between
Indigenous role models and high school students to
better prepare them for careers and post-secondary
education. Learn more at www.firesidechats.ca
