Putting people in a room
together and starting a
conversation for individuals
who wouldn't normally
come together.
I am so proud that I was able to build a
community virtually. This is something that I
had no experience with prior to this
initiative. I think this is so important as we
move toward more online avenues of
learning and sharing information. Especially
with the unpredictability of future
pandemics and combating social isolation to
promote positive mental health.
Project Leaders expressed pride in their ability to facilitate opportunities for the individuals
in their community to make meaningful connections with one another. They were proud of
creating spaces & events that combatted isolation and allowed community members to feel
a greater sense of social connectedness.
